Document All Incidents: Keeping good records.

If a target is involved in a regular routine of bullying, it would be of a great benefit to this person to start and maintain a very nice paper trail.

This can be done in several fashions. A simple notebook, a computer program on your home computer, a diary or in severe situations involving threats of harm to the target ...an electronic device such as a digital voice recorder or a cell phone that has this feature built in.

In the event of property damage or vandalizm, take pictures. Make any repair orders part of your document trail, including outside paperwork such as police reports.

When documenting incidents, maintain these records at home. Document each incident as if you were filling out a police report. By this I mean, use dates, times, names, what was said or done, who else was in the area when it happened, who did you report it to and what did they do about it, and keep your documentation civil. Though you've been through a rough time, keep bad words and name calling against the bully OUT of your documentation. Remember, your document trail is being done in your benefit.

YOU are the better person. Don't forget that.
