Message to Employers and Bullies:

Employers, are you aware of any bullying in your business? If you are, act on it quickly because in the long run you are one of the parties that get hurt. This may happen through lost business by customers who see the problem, targets who end up leaving as a result of being forced out, any legal action that may spring up as a result of this activity, or attendance problems from targets who are afraid to come to work or they are ill from the activity.

Are you going to let bullies takeover your business, turning it into their little clubhouse or hangout until your business is so damaged that there is no chance for recovery?

If you are aware of a bullying problem, ask yourself,

“Can our customers see this activity in our company?”

“Is this negatively affecting our ‘word of mouth’ customer talk?”

“Are we losing business we don’t know about because of this?”

“Are we losing good employees because of this very destructive behavior?”

The answer to these questions is never “NO”. Bullies affect all of the above questions with the answer ‘YES’, in one way or another. Bullies can destroy a healthy business.

Bullies, think about your actions at work. Have you said or done anything at work to cause other employees to leave the company?

If you said yes, …you are a person that successfully damaged your company and hurt your employer. Think about that.
